Butterfly Brooch — a handcrafted piece from the Yuanix LEI QIONG collection, sourced directly from heritage artisans in Guizhou, Southwest China.

Miao-inspired Chan Hua is a delicate handmade floral craft that combines traditional silk-thread wrapping techniques with the rich visual language of Miao ethnic culture. Using fine silk threads, wire, and shaped bases, artisans carefully wrap and form petals, leaves, butterflies, birds, and other decorative motifs. Each piece is made by hand, requiring patience, precision, and a strong sense of color and shape.

The beauty of Chan Hua lies in its layered, three-dimensional form. Unlike flat embroidery, Chan Hua creates flowers and ornaments with a sculptural quality. Every petal is wrapped thread by thread, then assembled into a complete design. The result is light, refined, and full of handmade warmth.

In Miao culture, flowers, butterflies, birds, silver ornaments, and embroidery patterns often carry meanings of beauty, blessing, nature, and ethnic identity. When Chan Hua is combined with Miao-inspired colors and decorative elements, it creates a unique style that is both traditional and contemporary.

Today, Miao-inspired Chan Hua is no longer limited to festival costumes or ceremonial accessories. It can be transformed into modern earrings, hairpins, brooches, necklaces, and meaningful handmade gifts. It allows traditional craftsmanship to enter everyday life and gives ethnic cultural heritage a new expression through modern design.

Each piece is not just an ornament, but a small handmade artwork created with silk threads, time, and cultural memory.

Care: keep dry, store separately to avoid scratches, and wipe gently with a soft cloth. Avoid contact with perfume, water and chemicals to preserve the finish.
